Who is Pest Management Services?
Pest Management Services was founded by Jim Payne in 1979.
The company was inspired by a newly emerging pest control concept called integrated pest management.
The basic premise of this approach to pest control was to limit the use of pesticides by eliminating the environmental conditions conducive to pest infestation. This resulted in PMS pioneering the development of integrated strategies long before its competitors.
Our Mission
The primary objective of Pest Management Services is to deliver the very highest standards of service and safety using all the principles of Integrated Pest Management (IPM). IPM systems minimize pesticide usage by modifying and eliminating environmental conditions that are conducive to pest infestation. The ultimate goal of our services is complete customer satisfaction with courteous and knowledgeable technicians delivering on time and effective results.
Our Certifications & Qualifications
Pest Management Services was the first pest control company in Canada to use a portable gas chromatograph (1985) to precisely measure fumigant levels in a large-scale industrial application.
Pest Management Services was also the first company to support the pest control programme at Sir Sanford Fleming College when it was in its infancy.
Pest Management Services pioneered the use of fibre optic scopes for pest detection. This tool is extremely useful in detecting bedbugs, carpenter ant nests and mice inside walls.
More recently we designed and engineered application equipment allowing for precise crack & crevice treatments at heights as high as forty feet from the ground. This allows for drift free point of release penetration for superior results with less pesticide.
